Bylaws
Local governments in Alberta—including Cities, Towns, Municipal Districts, Summer Villages, and Counties—are empowered by Section 7 of the Municipal Government Act (MGA) to create Bylaws that regulate, prohibit, and set requirements on various matters. These powers allow Council and Administration to govern effectively and respond to current and future needs within the municipality.
The County of Wetaskiwin No. 10 develops Bylaws to protect the environment, preserve public and private property, promote public health and safety, and support the wellbeing of its communities.
This page includes some of the most commonly requested Bylaws that apply within the County’s boundaries. If you’re looking for a specific Bylaw not listed here or have questions about interpretation or application, please contact Legislative Services.
Note: If a version conflict arises, the Original Signed Bylaw shall prevail.
