- Provincial Road Bans
A haul restriction is sometimes utilized prior to implementation of spring road bans. The County will specify a time frame when permitted hauls can move on frozen roads reducing the amount of road damage (ex: 10:00 p.m. – 10:00 a.m.). This would be interpreted as permitted hauls are allowed between the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. having the least amount of damage.
A permitted haul is movement on the roads that require the issuance of a permit. These permits may vary from overweight, over dimensional, service/drilling rigs, heavy hauls, or multiple legal loads.
Road bans are established by an Order of Council, and revised from time to time because of construction, maintenance, or seasonal conditions such as the spring thaw.

Seasonal (Spring) Road Bans
Seasonal (spring) road bans are implemented during spring months to protect road infrastructure. Typically, seasonal (spring) bans are in effect April – June, weather dependent.
Please note that some bans remain annually, refer to the “Annual Road Bans” listed on the current Road Ban Order.
