This course is intended for those with a licensed copy of Windows 7 or 8 on their own personal computer who would like to complete the upgrade to Windows 10 (free from Microsoft) with assistance. Description: Participants will make a complete backup of their personal computers, obtain an upgrade installation of Windows 10, and install the upgrade. • Create a full system image of your Windows 7 or 8 computer • Create a system recovery disk • Using provided Microsoft software, install Windows 10 • Set up the new installation according to your personal preferences • Make adjustments to the default settings and learn the basics of the new operating system Bring your usernames and passwords Prerequisites: • Participants must bring a minimum 1 TB external hard drive (available where electronics are sold) • Working knowledge of Windows and basic computer skills • The Caring for Your Computer course is recommended but not required
