Fire Permits are required March 1st to October 31st
The County of Wetaskiwin is encouraging residents to exercise extreme caution in forested areas and to avoid burning under warm, dry and windy conditions.
It is also crucial that you remain up to date on fire bans and restrictions in your areas to reduce the risk of human-caused wildfires, which represented more than 60 per cent of wildfires this past season.
If you are in the Forest Protection Area, please ensure you obtain a permit from www.alberta.ca (see link below).
