Update: June 1, 2021
The Contractor (Central City Asphalt) has accomplished about 60% of the subgrade preparation and is now applying the two lifts of Granular Base Course (GBC).
Update: May 27, 2021
Work has begun on the G3 Resource Road project at the north end of Range Road 240. The first step is the subgrade preparation where the top 300 mm of soil is reworked and compacted.
Update: May 12, 2021
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 17, 2021. Work will start at Hwy 613 and move south and west on the G3 road (subgrade prep followed by base course). Then crews will pave back the opposite direction coming from Hwy 2a, east to RR 240 and north to Hwy 613. This work will take 6-7 weeks to complete (weather dependent). We thank those in advance for their patience, care and attention when driving through the work zones. Safety is a high priority during construction with the end objective being a significant enhancement to the local road infrastructure.
