Road Construction Projects
All new road construction projects are posted on the County website as they are approved by Council. Updates will be posted periodically. Notices are mailed to landowners who will be directly affected by construction projects.
Please note, these projects are weather dependent, and the start and end dates for each project is subject to change.
The County is endeavoring to safely maintain local traffic access on this road during these projects. Please be patient during the upgrades. Reduced speeds will be enforced.

Township Road 472 Grading 3.5 kms
Project: This project involves building a new road in a government road allowance so that residents have a public road for access. The alignment will extend along the TR 472 right of way west for 3.5km to where it connects to the east termination of TR472.

Alder Flats Pavement Upgrades
PHASE 1: This work is tendered to PME Inc and includes grading and base work in preparation for paving to complete Phase 1 of the Hamlet Infrastructure Upgrade to Alder Flats.
PHASE 2: Work includes upgrades to 1st Avenue from 2nd St. W. to 1st St. E.; 2nd St. W. from 1 Ave. to Hwy 13 and lane; 1st St. E. from 1 Ave. to Hwy 13.
Once Phase 2 is complete, all areas shaded in blue will be upgraded with new pavement structure. Work is scheduled to be completed pending tender award.

Lakedell Road North (Range Road 12 - Grade, Base and Pave 0.84 kms)
Project: Proposed Work is high quality pavement upgrade to RR 12. •Extents of project initiates at Hwy 13 and runs 0.84 km north to just past the entrance to the Lakedell Transfer Station.

SE and Area Stormwater Upgrades
The proposed work includes significant drainage works on Ermineskin FN lands that includes ditching, drainage swales, wetland replacement, natural drainage course rehabilitation, ditching on County Road RR 243, and re-establishment of natural drainage course on private property within the County jurisdiction.

Bridge File 75497
The existing bridge-sized culvert crosses a Tributary to Lloyd Creek on Range Road 24. The site (SW 21-45-2-5) is located northeast of Hoadley. The existing crossing consists of a single 1.8 m x 1.1 m x 13.4 m long arch CSP culvert.
The recommended replacement structure is a single 2.7 m dia. CSP culvert by 29.0 m invert length. This option was chosen based on hydraulic and fish passage adequacy as well as cost. The single culvert alternative will have a larger road grade raise but is the more cost-effective alternative and provides more freeboard for the road surface. The detour length is 6.5 km.
