The County is required to contribute toward front-line policing costs on a annual basis.  The RCMP works with Peace Officers and Bylaw Officers to assist with the safety of the County Officers and various crimes.  They also work on crime prevention initiatives such as: drug enforcement, rural crime watch, patrols, traffic safety initiatives, interactions with schools, check stops and special events.

Policing resources in the County are provided from three surrounding RCMP detachments:  Wetaskiwin, Breton and Thorsby.
