Community Peace Officers
Community Peace Officers operate under the Authorization provided by the Alberta Solicitor General Public Security Division, to carry out duties as assigned by Council including; road protection initiatives, traffic management (enforcement), public relations/awareness, public safety, disaster services, conducting preventative patrols, as well as providing assistance to the RCMP (Provincial Police Service) as requested.
Preventive patrols are an integral part of Protective Services core business activities. This proactive public safety initiative further promotes the wants and needs of municipal council ensuring safe communities.

The Authorization to Employ Community Peace Officers as provided by the Alberta Solicitor General Public Security Division outlines Community Peace Officer enforcement powers which include:- Animal Protection Act
