[ARCHIVED] Total Fire Ban still in effect

Total Fire Ban still in effect

The current fire ban situation is being monitored and a Total Fire Ban is still in effect. The County has received varying amounts of rain throughout, however, with the upcoming forecast being hot and dry well into next week, conditions still warrant a Total Fire Ban.

Fire conditions will be assessed early next week and a determination will be made as to whether the Total Fire Ban is to remain in effect.

  • No outdoor fires are allowed – including open burning, firepits or charcoal barbecues
  • The discharge of fireworks is strictly prohibited
  • All fire permits are suspended, and no new fire permits will be issued for the duration of this ban
  • Citizens may use cooking and heating appliances – such as barbecues, firepits and patio heaters – only if fueled by liquid fuel like propane or natural gas
