Thank you to residents who responded to the Communicating with the County of Wetaskiwin survey. Your input provides necessary information for the County to identify priority actions to enhance two-way communication with communities, individuals and families, creating a higher level of opportunity for citizens to engage in municipal decision making and community programs.
Special thanks to the Family and Community Support Services for the grant funding for a portion of this project.
The survey was distributed July 27, 2015 via Canada Post to approximately 5,700 ratepayers. There were 1,268 responses received representing a response rate of just over twenty-two per cent (22.2%).
The summary report provided below, was prepared by Ms. Maria deBruijn, Emerge Solutions Inc., and presented to Council and Administration at a workshop in December 2015. The goals of the workshop were to review and prioritize survey results, identify priority actions and determine evaluation metrics and analysis techniques.
Ms. deBruijn has provided an overview of the Communication and Engagement Workshop and a draft Communication Plan for Council's review. Upon Council approval, the Overview and the Communication Plan will be published on this website.
Once again, we thank everyone who provided input. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Communications Officer Sharon Radis via email sradis@county.wetaskiwin.ab.ca or by telephone 780-361-6220.
