Boil Water Advisory in effect until further notice

UPDATE: June 4, 2020 at 12:00 p.m.

Boil water advisory continues to be effect until further notice. The water trailer has now been removed from the Winfield Arena.

Water is back on in Winfield. Boil water advisory is in effect until further notice. See Alberta Health Services guidelines on how to use your water safely during the Boil Water Advisory.

Water Repair

UPDATE: June 3, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. 

The water tank is now on site and available for use. The tank has a  potable water rated hose on the end of the tank that has been disinfected so that jugs and containers can be easily filled. Please bring your own containers to fill with water. Residents must not place the end of the hose directly into their container. An air gap must be maintained between the end of the hose and the residents container. Residents should also allow some water to flow out before filling their containers to flush out the hose.

A water trailers from Rebel Heart will be parked at the Winfield arena so residents have access to potable water. The tank will have a  potable water rated hose on the end of the tank that has been disinfected so that jugs and containers can be easily filled. The tank should be ready for use by noon today. Please bring your own containers to fill with water. 

UPDATE: June 3, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. 

The water in Winfield is still not in service this morning and crews are continuing to work to get the system back up and running.

Once repairs have been completed a Boil Water Advisory is in effect until further notice.  See Alberta Health Services guidelines on how to use your water safely during the Boil Water Advisory.

UPDATE: June 2, 2020 at 12:00 p.m.
Currently there is no water service in the Hamlet of Winfield. Utility crews are working to get the water system back in service as quickly as possible but expect the repairs to take until into the evening.
