[ARCHIVED] ATTENTION WINFIELD RESIDENTS - Scheduled Maintenance Shutdown of Water Treatment Facility

Winfield Water Maintenance (Facebook Post)

We would like to inform you of a scheduled outage of the water treatment plant on Wednesday, March 20th, from midnight to 8:00 a.m. This temporary service interruption is necessary for the replacement of a distribution header, a crucial part of our water supply infrastructure.

This maintenance is essential to ensure the continued reliability and safety of your water supply. We understand the importance of water in your daily lives and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Potential Post-Outage Water Conditions:

  • After water service resumes, it's common for the water to look cloudy or have a brown tint due to sediment agitation within the pipelines.
  • Should you observe any discoloration in your water, it's advisable to let your taps run for approximately 5 minutes, or until the water clarity is restored. This step is effective in removing any sediment that might have made its way into your home's plumbing during the maintenance period.

For Assistance: Should you have any concerns or require further information about this outage, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Utilities Department at 780-361-6241. Our team is ready to assist you with any questions you may have.

Thank You for Your Understanding: Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated as we carry out these vital maintenance works to maintain the quality and reliability of your water service.
