The County of Wetaskiwin is pleased to announce two important changes that will take effect in 2024: the implementation of e-billing for all utility services and the removal of transfer station fees for household overloads and white goods for all County residents.
Starting January 1, 2024, the County of Wetaskiwin will transition to an electronic billing (e-billing) system for all utility services. This initiative aligns with the County's commitment to sustainability and efficient service delivery. E-billing offers a convenient, environmentally friendly, and efficient way for residents to receive their utility bills. Starting in May 2024, a fee of $2.00 per utility invoice will be applied to customers opting for paper billing instead of utilizing the electronic bill (e-bill) system. To sign-up for e-billing please visit https://www.county.wetaskiwin.ab.ca/e-billing.
In addition to the e-billing initiative, the County of Wetaskiwin is also no longer charging fees for overloads and white good at all County transfer stations for County residents, effective January 1, 2024. For more information on the removal of transfer station fees and the locations of our transfer stations, please visit our Transfer Station page or contact 780-352-3321.
The County of Wetaskiwin is committed to implementing innovative solutions that enhance the quality of life for its residents while promoting sustainable and responsible practices. We look forward to the positive impacts these changes will bring to our community in 2024 and beyond.
