Land Use Bylaw Amendments

A Public Hearing will be held for Council to review proposed amendments to Land Use Bylaw 2017/48 (LUB). The proposed text amendments will update definitions for Mobile, Modular, and Moved in Dwellings, require CSA Certification with Development Permit Applications, update provincial legislation references and delete duplication of legislation and regulations in the LUB, change residential accessory building site coverage regulations from zoning based to parcel area based, add Motel use to certain zoning districts, clarify setback standard when variance approved, add a Section for allowable Projections Into Yard Setbacks, replace references to Dorchester Ranch to Cavallo Ridge, and clean up formatting and minor conflicts within the Land Use Bylaw. The Land Use Bylaw with the proposed amendments can be reviewed here. Members of the Public can provide comment on the proposed Land Use Bylaw amendments by completing a comment sheet which will be provided to Council during the Hearing. A Public Hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 20 at 10:00 a.m. to review the proposed amendments.
