Earthworks have started. Initial grading portion has commenced; however, rain delays the work. There is poor driving conditions on Range Road 11 due to road work and summers storms, please drive with caution and to the road conditions.

The County is preparing to undertake upgrades to Range Road 11 (Black Bull Rd) from Highway 13 south to the Dorchester Ranch RV resort (approximately 6 km). The work is scheduled for the construction season of 2022 (May to October). The objective of the project is to upgrade the road to a high-quality pavement standard which will improve overall performance and level of service to the local residents. The work will include excavation and removal of poor subgrade material, improvements to vertical alignment, drainage improvements, granular base course, and paving.
The County is endeavoring to safely maintain local traffic access on this road during the project. Please be patient during the upgrades. Reduced speeds will be enforced. Thank you for your patience as the County strives to provide road infrastructure that allows for the safe travel of the public.
