Boil Water Advisory in effect until further notice

There is a boil water advisory in effect for Dorchester Estates. Once water is restored, it is still not safe to drink. Please see the following Alberta Health Services links regarding How to use boiled water safely, and how to store boiled water:

County Utility Operators will also hand this notice out door to door on the morning of Sept 8 2021.

Please refer to the County of Wetaskiwin Website and Facebook page for all updates, Including when the boil water advisory will be lifted.”

The Dorchester Water Treatment Plant had an unexpected emergency, and will be down for approximately one day.

The County of Wetaskiwin Utilities Department will make available cases of bottled water (available for pick up at the Dorchester Water Treatment Plant at 6:30 PM September 7, 2021). A potable water trailer will be brought in at 10:30AM September 8, 2021, and staged at the Water Treatment Plant. Residents will be able to fill their own personal water jugs. This is a reminder that COVID 19 protocols are in place, and that maintaining social distancing along with masking, is required.
