The County of Wetaskiwin is thrilled to announce its participation in the 2025 Municipal Internship Program, hosting an Administrative Intern. This 18-month program provides recent post-secondary graduates with a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in municipal government, develop essential skills, and work on meaningful projects under the guidance of experienced professionals.

About the Program

As an intern, you will:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of municipal operations.
  • Contribute to key initiatives, including public engagement plans, communication strategies, and advocacy efforts.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Have completed or will complete a post-secondary degree or diploma between January 1, 2023, and April 30, 2025.
  • Be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Not hold permanent employment with an Alberta municipality.
