Municipal Emergency Plan
The County of Wetaskiwin has a Municipal Emergency Plan that includes information for emergency situations such as dangerous goods spills, poison control, oil field incidents, severe weather and any other incident which may affect citizens. This plan includes the Hamlets within the County of Wetaskiwin as well as a partnership with the Town of Millet and the City of Wetaskiwin.
The Municipal Emergency Plan is updated regularly and is updated and distributed to the appropriate departments within the municipality.
The Emergency Operations Center is located at the County of Wetaskiwin building which is 1-1/2 miles west of Wetaskiwin on Highway 13.
Groups Involved
The County of Wetaskiwin has a group of people who would be involved in the event of a major disaster or emergency. This group consists of the Fire Chief, Chief Administrator, Community Peace Officers, Public Works, Social Services, Utilities and so on.The Municipal Emergency Plan is updated regularly and is updated and distributed to the appropriate departments within the municipality.
Location of the Plan
The Municipal Emergency Plan is located at the County of Wetaskiwin office and copies are distributed to various members within the surrounding community such as the City of Wetaskiwin, the Town of Millet and the hospital.The Emergency Operations Center is located at the County of Wetaskiwin building which is 1-1/2 miles west of Wetaskiwin on Highway 13.
