TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the County of Wetaskiwin No. 10 has received an application to amend its Land Use Bylaw by rezoning part of the following land, as shown on accompanying map:
- 13.9 acres from High Density Urban Residential (HDUR) to Rural Commercial (RC);
- 1.11 acres from Urban Residential (UR) to Rural Commercial (RC); and
- 21.99 acres from Urban Residential (UR) to Environmental Reserve (ER)
If the rezoning is approved, the applicant intends to continue development of the Village at Pigeon Lake subdivision, including commercial development and reserve land dedication.
The Rural Commercial (RC) and Environmental Reserve (ER) Districts can be viewed in the Land Use Bylaw.
Before proceeding further with the proposal, Council will hold a Public Hearing at which any person claiming to be affected by the proposed rezoning may ask questions or make their views known, via written submission, email or attending in person. As per the Municipal Government Act, any person affected has the right to petition this proposal.
The Hearing will be held in the Council Chambers at the County Administration Office, located 2.4 kilometres west of Wetaskiwin on Highway 13, at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
