[ARCHIVED] Sewer Repairs - SV of Poplar Bay - October 13 & 14, 2021

Overnight Shut Down

The County of Wetaskiwin Utilities Department will be performing repairs to the wastewater level indicating equipment at the South Side #3 Lift Station located on Hwy 771. The repairs will require the wastewater lift station to be shut down overnight. As of 9:00 p.m. October 13, 2021, the wastewater lift station will be out of service. This affects residents in Poplar Bay that have sanitary service. We are asking residents in Poplar Bay to restrict water usage from 9:00 p.m. October 13, 2021, until 9:00 a.m. October 14, 2021. The County of Wetaskiwin is recommending that residents in Poplar Bay unplug their sanitary pumps during the hours of 9:00 p.m. October 13, 2021 to 9:00 a.m. October 14, 2021. Residents of Grandview will not be affected by this shut down.
