Interested in Becoming a Volunteer Firefighter?

The fire departments within the County of Wetaskiwin rely on the dedication and commitment of residents to operate. Volunteers are needed for numerous duties including: answering phones, distributing pamphlets and information, teaching fire prevention and of course, on-call firefighting. Each fire department provides training, gear and equipment for volunteer firefighters. Some of the fire departments offer a minimal compensation package.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter, please contact your local Fire Department or the County Fire Chief Ken Carlson at 780-361-6240.

The County of Wetaskiwin would like to thank all the volunteer firefighters for all their hard work and dedication in maintaining a fire safe County. Without your hard work and dedication, our firefighting services would not be what they are today. Thank you!
