The Millet East/West Rural Fire Department provides fire services to Millet and area residents, this area also includes a part of the Leduc County.

An operational and funding agreement between the Millet Fire Department, Leduc County and the County of Wetaskiwin was ratified in 2003. This agreement is an ongoing and has a 12 month opting out clause.  This agreement provided a new rescue unit by the Leduc County to Millet in 2003. Part of this agreement includes a purchase of a new pumper unit estimated to cost in the $300,000.00 range by the County in 2006.

A new Pumper unit will be purchased in 2006 with a more modern and reliable pumper and a new Tanker unit in 2009 with more modern equipment. These purchases keep our goal of equipment replacement on an up to date basis.
