Due to ongoing hot, dry, windy conditions, the County of Wetaskiwin has declared a TOTAL FIRE BAN effective June 9, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.
No outdoor fires are permitted until further notice, including:
- Recreational fire pits
- Open fires (brush, bonfire)
- Burn barrels
- Chimineas
- Solid fuel barbecues (charcoal, pellets etc.)
- Fireworks
Cooking and recreational appliances that can be turned off using a switch or valve (fire table, electric smoker [including pellet smokers], propane or natural gas barbecues) are allowed.
