Corporate Culture

What Makes the County a Fun Place to Work
The County of Wetaskiwin strongly believes that establishing and fostering a creative, fun and friendly Corporate Culture is essential to a positive and successful workplace. Staff barbeques, parties, special themed days and raffles occur on a regular basis at the County. This electric Corporate Culture is maintained by direct staff involvement where their initiatives have resulted in fun events like themed Bosses and Administrative Assistant days, an annual softball game, daily card games and a municipal golf tournament.

Canteen Committee
The County also maintains a permanent Canteen Committee that is responsible for organizing and promoting social, team-building events. A few examples of these events include Saskatchewan Day, Summer Student Barbeque, Field Hockey Game Day, Staff Olympics, Soccer Tournament, Curling Bonspiel, Canteen Christmas Party, Chili Cook Off and many, many more.

Ambassador Information Session
Perhaps the most unique and most vital team-building event is the County's yearly Ambassador Information Session where all the County's employees gather for 1 whole day to learn about each department's amazing accomplishments. This event emphasizes the importance of each employee's contributions to the County and reinforces the philosophy that each person is an ambassador of the organization.
