Pigeon Lake Regional Wastewater

Project Goal
The Pigeon Lake Regional Wastewater Planning Committee and the County of Wetaskiwin as Managing Partner have moved forward with the regional wastewater project. The project provides wastewater disposal services to the residents on the south side of Pigeon Lake and within the Summer Villages of Ma-Me-O Beach, Grandview, Poplar Bay, Crystal Springs and Norris Beach.

The project commenced in the summer of 2014 with construction of Phase 1 with West Can Tel installing the force main (blue pipe) from the Mulhurst Bay lagoon to the Village at Pigeon Lake.  Alpha Construction is constructing two lift stations with a new automated truck dumping station located in the Westerose area.

The Committee for the internal servicing lines is proceeding with plans for providing service to local residents within the six municipalities.  View information about the internal servicing lines project in this brochure (Sept 2015) and this bulletin (April 2016).
